PrefaceA spiral is his heart; he goes down deep into untold muddied paradoxes, tearing thorny bushes, staining blood on clothing and turning silence to words. The valley discovers the art of the idle discourse in uncensored mind. The grace of a slave captive without bars is torn by a dint of remorse brought by the knowledge of futility. Immaculate tears kill joy at the sight of unmasked hounds. A date lapses into impotent words turning the ripeness of the apple into perplexity. The sole possession of imagined recreation in caresses invites us to enter our dreams. The following poems are knotted together by verbal nooses. A span of six months was enough to deliver the ego from the darkness of silence into fluid communicative expressions. I was completing my final year of education in university when the spiral in the dark churned out bold combinations of colour under the influence of interaction with illuminating literature. These utterances have been blessed with harmony, diminishing the medicinal bitterness, allowing them to be cheerfully consumed by my friends; not so cheerfully by a few critical thinkers whom I acknowledge as my best guides for improvement. Rangana Banerjee, Ananya Duttagupta and Anasuya Ghosh Bhar have accompanied me into my long distance journey into the realm of cryptic compositions. Thanks to them, the valley has whistled. After thirteen years of reserve the book opens up with a yawn dipping into words knotted together creatively.A.B.
