Come, reconcile –
We have drudged
On our solitary missions
For each one’s solitary success.
There will be differences
Always already are
Only recognize.
Individually
We stand unreflected. It’s false,
False to compete
Where natures are diverse
(How can a merry bird
Offend a skyscraper’s pride?);
We meet but only in motions.
False,
False are relations, false emotions.
Come realize
Each one fits his own shoes
Readymade;
Thrown into a battery for a course,
Aimed, designated, trudges.
Why do you grudge me my stars
Where I am subject as much to my garb
As you to your given dress?
Readymade is wonderfully presented by Anuradha.The originality and creativity in the lines offer a lot of solace to solitary individuals,ie readers like us who "have drudged on our solitary missions for each one's solitary success",which has eluded us..."How can a merry bird offend a skyscraper's pride?"Yet the bird is merry.I have interpreted Readymade in such a way,Anuradha,Its tough to read between the lines as your poems always have a deep inner meaning and are very sensitive and thoughtful and one has to dive deep to the bottom to understand it.Amazing and awesome poem.

ReplyDeleteThank you Prabuddha-da for your observations!
ReplyDeleteThe skyscraper reaches the skies; so does the bird. But the two are two absolutely different things, so there can be no competition between them, no rivalry, no envy and no offence. When 2 people are successful in their own ways, they should not become antagonistic towards each other.
Each man is born with a 'readymade' destiny, readymade skill/talent which he evolves and brings to perfection while growing up.
Thanks Anuradha for your views.True it s 'readymade'destiny...,,which we are born with; wonderful analysis.Warm Regards.
