No tricks
Said the animal world
To Mowgli.
Ours is a world of tricks.
Nothing inside our body
Matches the potency of our tricks.
The animal world has dwindled
Leaving behind a rock garden
Of piled up ceramics.
In all these trick mongering
A miniscule wild life
Has escaped our vigilance.
Can we not just let it roam
In our concrete jungle
Looking for its victim?
A parasite that it is,
It cannot survive outside our body;
May it lick dust in the streets.
