Our War Cry

“Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is reached.” – Swami Vivekananda

Remember
There is no land for us beyond the earth.

Henry defended Liberty
And the Russians saved Volga,
The Texans remembered Alamo
From long long ago…
All persisted
In the heat of their
War cry.

We can galvanize us
Against the virus;
Our strength is in passive resistance
And ‘stay home’
Is our war cry.

In place of strangled gasps
There’s joy in a full-throated cry of
‘God willed it’
And we can then
Deal a humiliating defeat
To the pygmy army
That has dared to seize our land.

Whoever thought we are foolish lizards?
We can thwart their effort
To annihilate us.
Yes, we can do it.
‘Stay home’ is our war cry.
