The Doomed

Let us begin

By thinking

That the earth

Needs cleansing

Yet to think

Therefore

That we are dirt

Makes us hate

Each other more.

I came across a mob

That says

Doomed are those

Who do not

Believe

In our god.

I came across those

Who said

The doomed

Are those

Who are taking up space

On the earth’s

Surface

For too long

Beyond their tenure.

I came across those

That are entrusted

With the job

Of deciding

On the fortune

Of others –

The suffering

Continued

And the mobs

Continued

And the doomed

Continued

All in the same boat.

And the thought

Therefore

Continued

To make us hate

Each other more.
